Lynsey Hawker – Librarian, King’s Fund; Co-chair, Health Libraries Group (HLG)
The National Grey Literature Collection is no longer being updated so therefore, you may have found that the database is no longer functioning or being updated in recent months.
However, the good news is that this is not the end of the National Grey Literature Collection. Working with the Knowledge and Library Service team at NHS England, The King’s Fund Library will be integrating content from the National Grey Literature Collection into The King’s Fund Library Database.
The King’s Fund Library team has been working hard to align our processes, de-duplicate and quality assure the records we are bringing into our database. This is a work in progress and we will update and promote the collection as soon as we can.
The King’s Fund Library Database specializes in material focused on health and social care policy and management. It includes official government publications, journal articles and grey literature, all of which is freely available to search from The King’s Fund Library website.
It also forms part of the Health Information and Management Consortium (HMIC) database along the Department of Health’s database (DH-Data). HMIC is available to search as part of the core collection of resources made available by NHS England.
If you are looking for content that was previously in the National Grey Literature Collection or if you need help searching The King’s Fund database, please contact library@kingsfund.org.uk.
