HLG Newsletter Summer 2026

Welcome to the Health Libraries Group Newsletter for Summer 2026!

In this issue, we are featuring an account of a library not only as a pillar supporting evidence-based practice, but also as a third space to allow ‘reflection, connection, and learning’. We also have, long awaited we’re sure, reflections from the International Congress of Medical Librarianship in Glasgow.

We would like to thank international colleagues who have submitted contributions at a rate equal to that of librarians and information professionals from the UK. Thank you for enriching the content of the newsletter and giving us fresh ideas and perspectives!

Read on for topics ranging from patient information to research to career transitions from nursing to librarianship. We are thrilled to share this edition of the HLG Newsletter with you and extend our warmest gratitude to all our contributing authors.
