HLG Newsletter Autumn/Winter 2024-2025

Welcome to the Health Libraries Group Newsletter for Autumn and Winter 2024-2025. With a new year just recently underway, we hope that this edition will help all of those searching for some inspiration for 2025!

This edition of the HLG newsletter features articles on predatory publishing, health literacy awareness and the ALIA leadership bursary, alongside invites to join the job shadowing network and contribute your impact case studies, as well as details of a range of exciting events to look out for during the forthcoming year. It also features the final Internet Sites of Interest to be penned by Keith Nockels.

On which note, the newsletter team extends its heartfelt thanks to Keith for his dedication in providing a continuously evolving and insightful column for an outstanding 20 years! We, along with past editors, offer our warmest best wishes to Keith. Below is a message from Joel Kerry Sage, a former editor of the newsletter:

Keith,

Many thanks for your hard work contributing to the HLG Newsletter. Your popular column was invaluable not only to support my role as NHS librarian, but also to many health librarians working both in the UK and internationally. Many thanks for your advice and wisdom during my time as HLG Newsletter Editor, it was great to work alongside and collaborate with you.

All the best, Joel Kerry-Sage

Our thanks also go to all of those who have generously contributed work to this edition of the HLG Newsletter: we hope you enjoy it!
