Alice Cleaver, Celestina Lau and Stephen Reid, The HLG Newsletter Team
In our most recent Autumn/Winter 2024-2025 issue, Keith Nockels penned his final “Internet sites of Interest”. We, the newsletter team, along with the past editors, extend our heartfelt thanks to his valuable dedication towards the Newsletter’s long-standing (an outstanding 20 years!), evolving column – one that has provided a wealth of insights to many, tackling and addressing in compiled lists the latest topics (i.e. generative artificial intelligence) and what’s current in Libraryland and the information profession, as a whole.
As we bade farewell to the outgoing columnist, this leaves a valuable opportunity for a fellow professional, one brimming with innovative ideas and eager to take up the high mantle and continue henceforth with the legacy of his column.
Are you:
- Enjoying browsing through what’s up and coming in Libraryland?
- Interested in sharing new perspectives or insights with other professional colleagues, both within the UK and internationally?
- Thinking of contributing something to the Newsletter for some time now, but have no ideas on where to start?
- Looking for a new challenge or opportunity to expand your horizons on what’s current and hot in the general information profession world?
Perhaps this role is meant for you! Additionally, although this is voluntary, it will be a great opportunity to both network and present as useful evidence for anyone doing their chartership.
If you are interested in taking this column on, please contact the editors at Newsletter.HLG@cilip.org.uk. For an informal discussion about the past columns, please contact Keith Nockels at khn5@le.ac.uk.
